Season Collections Exposed
A friend and fashion stylist approached me with an idea about sharing and showcasing collections for various seasons. A rather fun concept that developed around the thought that outfits and styles change consistently throughout each season and to find a place that showcases these things daily, would be a great way to help clients mix and match styles on the fly. With the idea of using pinterest as a starting point for moodboarding, this seemed pretty fun to play with.
The goal was to incorporate the following:
I began to disect the interactivity of how the user would optimize its use. Designing a sitemap and exploring some card sorting, revealed some cool perspectives on colors and how it played a role in the seasonal filtering.
Trying a different approach to wireframing, I went very minimal and began sketching things instead of the usual annotated callouts. Considering I was doing the visuals as well, it made sense to approach in differently in case of an better concept surfacing. After some preliminary prototyping, I added some visual design to simulate in on the ipad as it would be the native app for this device. The result turned out well with still more to be flushed out. More on this project but I really like the direction so far… Stay Tuned.
